How long is jail time for a DWI and failure to appear?

Answered by attorney Mark R. Thiessen
Criminal Law lawyer at Thiessen Law Firm
Probably just a night for the FTA, then the DWI gets back on the docket. And depending on your priors, anywhere from 3 days to 20 years for the DWI.

How get a misdemeanor off my background

Answered by attorney Patrick Short
Criminal Law lawyer at Law Firm of Patrick Short
It depends on what happened to your case.  If your case was a misdemeanor and it was done a certain way, you might be eligible for a Non-Disclosure.  If you were never convicted or given court-ordered community supervision (probation) you might be able to get an expunction.   You need to get a certified copy of the court's filing and have an attorney look at it for you to determine what you should do next.
