Can I obtain a drivers license if I have a warrant for my arrest in another State?

The department of motor vehicles will not check for open warrants, as far as I know. We cannot tell you what the punishment might be for a violation of probation in another state, but chances are that once you are picked up, for whatever reason, you will be held without bail. Other states usually do not extradite for misdemeanors. What you need to do is seek the advice of an attorney where the charges were pending and get these problems resolved so that they do not haunt you for years to come.
