I was arrested for a misdemeanor marijuana possession what are my options to not have this on my criminal record?

Answered by attorney Lawrence Thomas Lewis (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at Lawrence Lewis, P.C.
First, you need to talk like you are a graduate student. You will get a job, it just may not be the best job, or even a good job. Second, IF you plead guilty or you are found guilty, then you will have a mark on your record. So, now you need to retain an attorney, who might be able to file a motion to suppress or find another alternative.

Is it a good thing that the police had me called someone over 18 to sign out after being caught stealing?

default-avatar
Answered by attorney Stephen Lewis Freeborn (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at Freeborn Law Offices P.S.
If you are asking whether that means you will be charged as a minor, the answer is "No". You will be charged as an adult. With the amount you stole, you are looking at felony charges. My advice to you: hire an attorney. Not only do you have the criminal implications, but also the implications that will go beyond; like how it will impact your college and any future job prospects.

What penalties can my fiance face for violating his misdemeanor and felony probation?

default-avatar
Answered by attorney Robert Jason De Groot (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at R. Jason de Groot, P.A.
It depends upon a number of factors, and without knowing all of the facts and charges, I can only say that he might be facing 5 to 15 to up to 30 years in prison. He could also do the rest of the probationary period in county jail on the misdemeanor, and prison on the felony violations of probation.
