Will I be arrested if I report my boyfriend's domestic violence?

Answered by attorney Mark R. Thiessen
Criminal Law lawyer at Thiessen Law Firm
You could be picked up on your warrant, but hopefully the police will feel sorry for you since it is a minor charge. You should absolutely call 911 the next time he comes at you. It's hard to make reports of past activity but you should relay that to them at any time as well. Definitely call 911 if he attacks you again.

How do I nullify my contract (license) with the DMV?

Consult with a local attorney about this. That case is not a Florida case, and the courts in Florida consider a license to be a privilege, not a right.

It's a clear violation court could give her jail time or just reinstate probation with warning. Jail time could be the max sentence on her initial conviction.
