Does possession of marijuana in your car affect your driving record? How?

Answered by attorney Andrea Rogers (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at The Rogers Law Firm
If you pleaded guilty or were convicted, the conviction will show up on your criminal record. I suggest you hire a lawyer to withdraw your guilty plea and get the marijuana charge dismissed or reduced to a lesser offense. Having a drug-related conviction on your record will prevent you from getting a job, renting an apartment, getting a loan, etc.

How long can a conviction from 20 years ago affect you in deciding a current sentence?

Answered by attorney Kenneth G. Wincorn
Criminal Law lawyer at Law Offices of Kenneth G. Wincorn & Associates, P.C.
yes it can affect his sentence. Talk to your attorney about trying to convince the DA that it is too remote. Sometimes this can be done. It depends on the court and county where the case is being prosecuted. Often if he is in treatment it helps.

Am I criminally liable for the fraud committed by another person?

Answered by attorney Philip Daniel Hache
Criminal Law lawyer at Law Offices of Phil Hache
I would recommend consulting with and potentially hiring an attorney to assist you in this matter pre-filing just in case they are looking to press charges against you, potentially as an accomplice.
