What could I do if incorrectly charged for possession of methamphetamine?

Answered by attorney John F Brennan (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at Musilli Brennan Associates, PLLC
You should most certainly engage in an attorney and attempt to defend yourself, or at least mitigate the damages. The fact is you are intending to get a prescription is not a to the Emperor possession of a prescription drug. On the other hand, if this is indeed your first offense it may well be possible to have some form of plea agreement which would allow you to keep this from appearing on your permanent record.

What should we do if my husband is being accused of raping a minor under 13 four years ago?

Answered by attorney Jason William Savela
Criminal Law lawyer at The Savela Law Firm, P.C.
If you cannot afford a lawyer, get a public defender. If you can afford to hire, lets discuss representation. These cases are possible life sentences - do not pretend otherwise. This is the most important thing in your life. Treat it correctly or suffer. I have recently had a rape case dismissed by the DA prior to trial.

How long does the state have to charge someone with burglary?

Answered by attorney Jared Christian Winter (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at Law Office of Jared C. Winter
If they are on house arrest and on bail, then they have already been charged. Is your question really about charging or is it more about trial? You are probably asking how long they have to bring him or her to trial. The answer to that question depends on whether they are charged with felony or misdemeanor burglary (there is no special designation for a "daytime" burglary).
