Does lying to an officer about an incident that didn't occur a crime?

Answered by attorney Lawrence Lewis (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at Lawrence Lewis, P.C.
It is called false report of a crime. The DA wants to have a record. So, IF your boyfriend kills you, your mother does not try to sue someone for not doing anything. YOU see everyone wants something for nothing. Your mother probably raised you to be a liar, which means she will want money after your murder.

How do I get my drivers license if I had a DUI twenty years ago?

Jared Clayton Austin
Answered by attorney Jared Clayton Austin (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at Austin Legal Services, PLC
Statistics show that those who are represented by attorneys have a much better success rate than those without attorneys. That is because attorneys that do this regularly know what the appeal board is looking for and what will get you reinstated and what will get you rejected. The letters of recommendation are crucial and many will do them wrong without proper guidance. The cost of an attorney on average is about $1,500 with $1,000 being on the low end and about $2,000 on the high end. But I think you will find it is well worth the cost to get your license back so you can fully get on without your life.

It depends on your state. Sometimes it's in the discretion of the judge whether to report it or not. Others have mandatory reporting and suspension of privileges.
