If I own up drugs that were found in my brother’s bag, will the charges get dropped and the case get dismissed or will I be charged, or us both?

It's possible that you would both be charged, since the prosecutor may just assume that you both were involved in a drug crime but you are trying to take the fall for your brother.

Shoplifting is a crime that can be expunged from your record according to MCL 780.621. The expungement can only be granted if the sentence was completed at least 5 years ago.

Can I press rape charges against this person?

Mark A. Broughton
Answered by attorney Mark A. Broughton (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at Mark A. Broughton, PC
You report it to the police. They will conduct an investigation and determine whether or not charges should be filed. It is a common misconception that a victim "presses charged." That decision is up to the police, and ultimately the prosecutor, as to whether or not actual charges will be filed for a law violation.
