Can an officer search my car for drugs without permission?

Answered by attorney Andrew Louis Subin (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at Andrew Subin Attorney at Law
The officer would need some justification to search the car. In some cases, he can search the car if he arrested your husband for something. (But he has to arrest him for something before searching the car). Search and seizure law can be quite complicated. Your husband needs a good lawyer.

How can we get my nephew for counseling and a support group?

You are in a very precarious position, on one hand you want to help your nephew, on the other hand you must not enable him. It can make good attorney, and make them sign a note stating that you are paid back with specified monthly payments and an interest rate. Also, if possible seek a security interest in whatever property or assets he may have.
