You can contact the prosecutor and then go to court with photo ID and ask the judge to remove the "stray away". For the rest speck to your boyfriend's lawyer.

What will happen if probation date is up but I didn't complete class?

Answered by attorney Jason William Savela
Criminal Law lawyer at The Savela Law Firm, P.C.
If it was probation and not a deferred sentence, then probation ends on the last day of probation unless a motion to revoke probation was filed with the court prior to the end of probation (in a deferred sentence, they have an extra 30 days) get the class done - that way, if there was prob revo filed, it will likely be withdrawn upon showing completion of the class.

What kind of sentence could he be looking at for stealing from a department store?

Jared Clayton Austin
Answered by attorney Jared Clayton Austin (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at Austin Legal Services, PLC
That amount would place him at the felony threshold and therefore he is facing potential prison time. However, if it is his first offense, that is extremely unlikely and almost assuredly will not happen. Probably the worst case scenario is he would be placed on probation. If he is eligible for a diversion program, that would keep the conviction off of his public record. HYTA would do the same thing. If in doubt, at least have an attorney review his case before he agrees to plead to anything. Of course, these options may not apply if he has a prior record.
