What can I do if I was charged with possession but only cited?

A first drug offense of simple possession makes you eligible (unless there's something more to the story or your background) for a drug diversion program where you can attend classes and get the case dismissed if you stay out of trouble for 18 months. Discuss this with your attorney - either one you hire or the public defender if you qualify and they're appointed by the judge.

You could report the case to the Morgan Hill Police and see if they will act upon your complaint. The problem is that there could be an issue about the statute of limitations. There is an exception if your memory of the events was just discovered, usually through therapy, but normally the limit is 28 years old.

What can I do if my soon to be ex-wife went to police and said I pointed a gun at her but i didn't?

Answered by attorney Patrick Owen Earl
Criminal Law lawyer at Patrick O. Earl
If you have a criminal charge against you make sure you hire an experienced criminal defense attorney to represent you. That is what you do right now. Punch holes in her story so make sure you have her story in mind and gather evidence to punch holes in what she said happened.
