What does it mean if my boyfriend was arrested on a warrant for $50,000 and has court next week for a pretrial conference?

Obviously the State has a different view of the situation than you do. With bail set at $50,000.00, that is a sign that the charges against your BF are serious and that your BFD has a criminal history. The judge would never have set the bail as high as he/she did if there did not exist probable cause. I suspect that the State has a fairly good case against your BF.

How much could I expect to pay after forgetting to pay the speeding ticket and getting a suspended license?

It is up to the judge. You could be required to pay the full bond amount, since you failed to appear. You may also be required to pay a warrant fee, as well as the fine imposed for driving on a suspended license. What you pay is ultimately up to the judge.

Will I have to go to jail for committing identity theft?

default-avatar
Answered by attorney Andrew Louis Subin (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at Andrew Subin Attorney at Law
Identity theft in the first degree has a sentence range of 3-9 months. Identity theft in the second degree has a range of 0-90 days (if you have no prior felony record). I am not sure about repairing the damage to your daughter's credit without contacting the police. If she does contact the police about this, it will be out of her control at that point.
