Will I get jail time if I’m on probation if i got a careless driving ticket in Colorado?

Answered by attorney Steven Joseph Pisani (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at The Law Offices of Steven J. Pisani, LLC
Probably not. Typically probation is revoked if you commit a new offense or a traffic offense that results in greater than 6 points. Careless driving is only 4 points, so you should be ok.

I was arrested for a warrant I was told but when got to the jail they said that the county didn't want me , took my pic prints no charges and let me ?

You are correct - this scenario you describe makes no sense. If there is a warrant, you should have been released only after posting bond - or signing a 'personal recognizance' bond - and the bond form you signed (which you would have been given a copy of) would have a court date on it. It makes no sense to be fignerprinted etc. but not given a court date.  If I were you, I would contact the Court clerk in the county that the warrant is from and ask about whether a court date is set, etc.  If you cannot find out from a Court clerk I would definitely hire a lawyer to help you figure this out.

What happens if a minor killed an assualting drunken man?

Answered by attorney Jason William Savela
Criminal Law lawyer at The Savela Law Firm, P.C.
That is defense of others, if a person uses reasonable amount of force to repel or stop what that person reasonably believes is or will be an attack on themselves or another deadly force is allowed where a person believes, it is necessary to stop the attack or where the person believes deadly force may be used. If the only way to stop the attack is deadly force, then you may use it no matter what, get an attorney, say nothing to the police [other than maybe - he was attacking her, so I did it] but best not to guess - say nothing other than I want an attorney and then only tell the attorney what happened.
