How can a father keep his son from going to jail/prison for credit card fraud?

Answered by attorney Jason William Savela
Criminal Law lawyer at The Savela Law Firm, P.C.
If the father would normally allow his son to use the card, basically that father gave general permission to use the card, then it is likely not illegal. If the father filed the fraud claim thinking that a person other than the son used the card, then that would explain that. The best idea is to get a lawyer that can represent the son.

What will happen if I get probation violation for a failed drug test?

default-avatar
Answered by attorney Stephen Lewis Freeborn (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at Freeborn Law Offices P.S.
Depends upon how the sentencing order was written. In some instances, the reduction from DUI to reckless is conditioned upon successful completion of probation. With a violation, it could result in the reckless being converted to a DUI. In either instance, both reckless and DUI are punishable by up to a year in jail. The judge could certainly impose jail time for the violation.... and if the violation results in the filing of new charges, well, you have to deal with those as well. My advice... get an attorney.

What is the penalty for writing back checks and cashing them?

Answered by attorney Jason William Savela
Criminal Law lawyer at The Savela Law Firm, P.C.
This can be a felony identity theft or felony check fraud the police will try to determine who did it if reported by friend if the police try to talk with you, just say I want a lawyer and nothing else - there is nothing you can tell the police today that you cannot tell them tomorrow with a lawyer
