Can the police arrest me on felony charges if some gives them a recorded statement saying they heard me talking?

Anyone can be arrested on the flimsiest of evidence. Whether or not you can be convicted is to be seen. Also the statement may not be hearsay if the witness is testifying as to what you said.

If I was caught shoplifting 3 years ago and was told to pay a civil demand, will this show on my record?

I don't know why. The only thing that shows up on your record is criminal convictions. Your civil record would have judgments, but it sounds like you never went to court. .

I missed my court date for a DUI, what would be the consequence?

Alanna Debra Coopersmith

I am assuming you're not represented... Go to the Criminal Clerk and ask to "add yourself back to calendar." Pick a new court date. In court, explain the reason why you missed court (if any), apologize for missing court, and ask that the bench warrant be withdrawn and discharged.
