Art Read is everything a lawyer should be. Knowledgeable, seasoned, experienced in all facets of law, and if he does not know the law , he will find another legal peer that is an expert. Very important attribute. Art is very compasionate and understanding and most of all , he can communicate and get to the point of cases and work with both sides in good faith to help his clients. Art neevr forgets that the ultimate goal is the satisfaction of his client.

Mr. Read is very compassionate and took me (and still is taking me) through a very difficult time.

My boyfriend and I hired Mr. Read. My boyfriend is a former Army soldier who had a child in the service. She is 9 and complained to us of child abuse from step-father and mother. The Mother came to RI from TX to "grab" the child armed with a VA court order. The police were going to allow it but Mr. Read managed to slow things down, get everyone into Family Court where a Judge restrained us all until DCYF could investigate. They did and confirmed the girl's story. Mr. Read saved her.

I referred my son to Mr. Read on a child custody matter involving child abuse of my granddaughter. It was very complicated and involved three states and Orders from one of them favoring his former wife. All heck broke loose last Fri afternoon and I never saw a man move so fast, deal with police, constables and the court so effectively. He saved my granddaughter from being taken from the state and put into an abusive situation. How do you explain what that means? I cried. He's beyond great.

I saw Mr. Read on an emergency basis. He was very busy but cleared his schedule and spent hours on the first day and then two full days with me addressing my emergency issues. He is an outstanding person and lawyer. He provided me with representation far beyond anything I could have expected and with kindness. I thank God for the referral to him.
