Hired Attorney

I was charged with a crime due to some political/vindictive things going on in Navarro and Ellis County. The DA's office in Ellis county had witnesses tell them it was a misunderstanding and they knew it but drug this out almost 2 years just because they could. They even tried to scare me by saying they might charge me with another crime I knew they were bluffing and only trying to intimidate me. Michael and his team stood by me and fouhgt with such passion there would be no one else I would want to or trust to take on a corrupt/politically motivated DA office or judges. I did not hear from them every day or week but I knew they were working on my behalf becuase they were prepared when it mattered. The investigation that did and the knowledge that comes with the people in his office cannot be over stated. If you need an attorney who is not afraid of a judge, the DA office, or others call him.     State v. Slaughter: Led to mistrial based upon the District Attorney's request, the County Judge agreed, the Defense Counsel strenuously objected
    however, the gavel fell
    the mistrial granted. The subsequent result was that the District Attorney was barred from reprosecuting the same defendant because jeopardy attached in the first trial. Set 2nd Chair in Aggravagated Sexual Assault of a Child Case where two children, age 3
    4, Not Guilty Verdict against the Father.
    Transactions
    Led the Defendant in a Tort action as counsel in suit whereby settlement occurred one day after discovery process began for a five figure settlement; Defended a young man in Navarro County Court charged with false statement to a police officer. After the State put on their first two witnesses, and a lunch break, the District Attorney argued for a mistrial and the Judge of the Navarro County Court granted it, thereby barring reprosecution under double jeopardy bars; Set 2nd Chair in aggravated sexual assault of two children (clients sons) and received not guilty verdicts on both counts in a jury trial; Set my client, a small spanish man, for trial in an assault case that found my client bruised and bloody. The trial was dismissed five days before trial because the witnesses could not be found.
