Barna, Guzy & Steffen, Ltd. is a law firm established in 1938 with an office in Coon Rapids, MN. At this office location, there are 26 lawyers practicing trial practice, appellate practice, federal practice and 31 other areas of law.
Prepared a report regarding employment issues that drew on suppositions, unproven allegations, and unsubstantiated comments. Did not provide a complete picture of the situation and missed several key areas of information.
Though largely staffed, I feel I got amateurs for my money.
Mr. Sauter made decisions without my input and misrepresented explaining to me the eventual outcomes of some of the decisions he made. He showed up at one of my divorce hearings flushed-faced and shaking so bed the paper in his hands visibly shook. I find Mr. Brown to be a very untrustworthy individual to work with. Initially he comes across as very helpful and friendly, but overtime you realize he’s doing what’s best for his firm. Often times making up concerns, demands, issues, etc., to get what his client wants. The second worst part is Mr. Brown has repeatedly requested that the Judge have me pay for all of his attorney fees related to the made-up concerns, demands, or issues. Not to my surprise, the Judge's thankfully has denied each of Mr. Brown's requests for reimbursement for erroneous fees. That should say a lot about his character. Each of the Judges we worked with over the past eight years seen through the dishonesty, and denied each of Mr. Brown's request for erroneous fees reimbursement. My concern is in the past 8 years of working with Jason Brown, I continue to see him only look out for his clients best interest, and not the children involved. Since I posted my below review three weeks ago about my experience with Jason Brown, I have been harassed by Jason and others at the firm. This continues in multiple ways. I attached a copy of Jason last two emails to me in the last three weeks. As you can see from his correspondence, it is clear Mr. Brown wants to use intimidation and threats to try to fix his mistakes. Originally Posted 1/2024: I have witnessed attorney, Jason Brown, helping his client get away with abusing her own children, on multiple occasions. Mr. Brown will submit anything you would like to the court, regardless if it’s true. If you’re looking for an attorney who protects child abusers, attorney Jason Brown is your guy.
I do not recommend working with Jason Brown. He is dishonest and has no problem saying to the court whatever is necessary to protect his client, even when his client has seven CPS reports opened against her in the last 6 years, and continues to abuse her children. The last CPS/Hennepin County CHIPS case against his client opened on 7/27/2022 and just closed 1/2024. The abuse allegation from her children were extremely disturbing. You will cry when reading the CPS reports. Sadly, another CPS report has been submitted (a week ago) since the last case was closed. The abuse continues. The only one that wins is Jason Brown, who profits financially from all of this sadness and abuse. Jason Brown, knowingly, keeps protecting a child abuser who continues to abuse.
