At first Scott seemed fine. Over time things really fell off. It started small with him falling asleep in our conference room before a hearing. Next the billing department would start hounding me right after making a huge payment. I showed up to court for three different hearings that never happened. Two of these hearings Scott knew weren’t happening and failed to keep me posted. He left me with a new attorney at one hearing. She looked like a deer in the headlights and didn’t represent me whatsoever. When expressing my concerns with Scott he sidesteps taking responsibility for mistakes and faults poor communication. He ignores questions in emails intentionally and holds back answers he knows.
Pretty much I am in the middle of getting ripped off so I paid the Emma retainer fee or was 2500. She puts a protection order on me instead of my children lies over and over about her filing my custody when we hired her, we immediately went to the courthouse to get a protection order on all of us somehow she fucks that up it just is on me as we're coming out. She's like oh OK go home I'll take care of the rest, cool no problem don't hear from her. I emailed her three times still didn't hear so I called her there. She eventually tells me that she has to file something called rush. I'm like OK. Well, when's the court date? Long story short I've been overcharged. She has not done nothing she's misfiled or forgot documents supposedly and she's charged me for a draft the protection has droppedbecause she agreed to it. She told me that's what's best. Now we're in fear for our life so right now I'm just waiting the partner. Andrew contacted me tried to lowball me really did
I would never recommend Barr & Jones. I hired this firm back in April 2019. I expressed to them how serious this case was and how I needed an experience Lawyer. They had Nancy Ludwig take over my case. Nancy had horrible communication. Not getting back to me for over a month at a time. She was rude and not professional. She would contact us at 11pm. She made false charges on our accounts. She was 45 minutes to late to trial ! There were times where I had to file paperwork or drive up to the courthouse because she was unable to do her job. She was late fired from the firm. When I explained all that she had done wrong to us Andrew Brasse was not sympathetic at all. He was asking me for more money. We already paid $10,500 dollars. I asked for my file recently from them and they sent me scratch notes of papers and a few pieces of paper that I sent to Nancy. It is sad to know people out there will take your money and not care about you and your family.
My attorney failed the completion of my divorce. He allowed my ex-husband to equally share title in the house. The home that I am currently living and hold total financial responsibility. I am threatened by my husband's family to get the other half. I have never heard of this happening with divorce couples. I consulted other divorce attorneys, they said he should have taken care of this. I am not happy!
