Ms. Kaczmarek was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. Ms. Kaczmarek attended Louisiana State University and graduated from University of New Orleans in 1996 with a BA in Communications. Ms. Kaczmarek then worked at the local NBC affiliate in New Orleans until her decision to go to law school in 1998.
Ms. Kaczmarek graduated from Loyola University New Orleans Law School in 2001. Ms. Kaczmarek received her Juris Doctorate in Common Law, the law recognized by 49 States and Great Britain and a Certificate in Civil Law, the law recognized by Louisiana and the remainder of the world. Ms. Kaczmarek wanted to go into Sports Law, having interned with the New Orleans Saints in the summer of 2000, working on the stadium deal, which never materialized.
Ms. Kaczmarek began working with attorneys in New Orleans, practicing civil law, mostly divorce, child custody, personal injury and worker's compensation. Ms. Kaczmarek, her husband and son gave New Orleans two years after the devastation of Hurricane Katrina before deciding to relocate. Ms. Kaczmarek relocated to Colorado Springs in the summer of 2007 to be closer to her family who had all relocated here after that terrible disaster.
Ms. Kaczmarek worked with a workers' compensation firm in Colorado Springs after relocation and then with the El Paso County District Attorney's Office for six months before moving on to a larger firm, specializing solely in family law matters.
Ms. Kaczmarek hung out her shingle in November 2009. Ms. Kaczmarek was able to being her unique brand of southern hospitality to Colorado Springs Family Law. Ms. Kaczmarek enjoys working on her own, where she is able to focus strictly on the children of divorce and providing excellent customer care. Ms. Kaczmarek works with her clients to keep cost down and payment plans to help the everyday working man/woman. Ms. Kaczmarek understands that not everyone has the money to put up high retainers and if they can, those individuals deserve to see their retainers go far.
Ms. Kaczmarek has over 10 years of litigation experience and has focuses specifically on family law issues for the past 3 years consecutively. Family law issues include divorce, child custody, child support, modification of prior decrees, contempt citations, dependency and neglect, grandparent visitation, and all other avenues of family law.
