About Jonathan D. Mester, Esq.

Jonathan D. Mester focuses his practice predominately on representing victims of medical malpractice, including obstetrical malpractice cases in which the baby suffers severe deficits at birth such as cerebral palsy. Jonathan also handles complex personal injury cases involving serious injury and death.

Jonathan joined Nurenberg, Paris, Heller & McCarthy in 1998 as an associate and currently is the managing partner of the firm, and a member of the firm’s board of directors. He is a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum. Jonathan has also been selected for inclusion in Ohio Super Lawyers® by Law & Politics Media since 2010. In 2024, Jonathan was named Best Lawyers ® “Lawyer of the Year” for both medical malpractice and personal injury litigation.

Jonathan is proud to represent individuals in taking on hospitals, corporations, and large insurance companies. He is most proud of the jury verdicts he has obtained. Jonathan has obtained multiple jury verdicts in excess of a million dollars, including the first medical malpractice verdict in several years in Columbus, Ohio on behalf of a four-year-old girl in 2013.

Hired Attorney

Jonathan and his team are tremendous advocates for those without a voice. His group worked very hard to find some justice for my son that was brutally injured. They are responsive, compassionate, caring, intelligent, ambitious and experienced. No question in my mind that we found the right firm and the right lawyer to represent us. God forbid anything happen to my family again, but if it does, there is only one firm I will be calling.

Jonathan was kind, compassionate and extremely professional, yet personable, and believe he gave excellent advice. He presented options related to agreeing to a settlement or going to trial. Given my family's circumstance, settlement was the best option. Both Jonathan and his firm would receive an excellent overall recommendation from myself and family.
