About Kimberlee Payton Jones

Attorney Kimberlee Payton Jones is the founder of Payton Jones Law, where she focuses her practice on immigration litigation. Raised in Washington, D.C., she developed an early commitment to public service and a deep belief in standing up for people who need a voice. That commitment continues to shape her work today, both in the courtroom and in the community. Kimberlee is known as a compassionate advocate with a strong sense of justice, and she stays actively involved in the legal community through leadership and volunteer efforts. She has served as co-chair of the Advocacy Committee for the Georgia-Alabama chapter of the American Immigration Lawyers Association and has supported undocumented youth in immigration court through the attorney-of-the-day program. Her bar involvement also includes leadership roles with the Georgia Association of Black Women Attorneys and service on the advisory board for Georgia Lawyers for the Arts. Kimberlee founded Southern Lawyer, a social justice 501(c)(3). She earned her undergraduate degree from the College of William & Mary, her J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center, and advanced degrees from Johns Hopkins University and Emory University.
