Divorce is one of the most transformative, hardest things a person can go through but I cannot say anymore positive things about Shana who made the process that much better as she comforted me throughout a very unknown, terrifying journey and reassured me that it will be okay. What makes her different is she actually really cares about the children involved and does her best to make sure everything goes in the best interest of the kids. It is such a private, emotional journey but you literally can’t be in better hands than with Shana who is confident, intelligent, resourceful and truly one of the kindest yet STRONGEST attorneys I have ever met. As a woman myself I could not feel more secure in such a scary time in my life than with her.
James is proven family lawyer & challenger who really fights only the good fight for client’s benefit & best interests not for fight’s sake or to run up your bills like the 2 big North Shore divorce law firms do while being a tough negotiator and doberman litigator. Great job advocating for my kids and I; applying the law; and putting on great case at divorce trial. Treated with respect & compassion as deaf mom of 2 young kids who gave up career to support corp exec husband. Best kept secret
Highly recommend James Quigley & Jared Pinkus -- partners who did fantastic job advocating for my kids & I; applying the law; and putting on strong case at divorce trial. Treated me with absolute respect, humanity and dignity everyday as a late-deafened mom with 2 young kids and who gave up her career to support her corporate exec husband & our family. James & Jared fought hard like pitbulls and Dobermans while being honest about what was worth fighting for & not overbilling. Best kept secret.
Jared balances fight, fire and compassion as a highly effective family lawyer. Jared and the team did great job advocating for my kids and I; applying law; and putting on solid case at trial. As my day-to-day contact, he treated with respect and making sure I understood everything as a deaf mom of 2 young kids who gave up career to support corp exec husband while OC said I was faking deafness. His strong business and technology background are bonus in handling case. Best kept secret in Chicago
Enrico is one of the most honest, loving, giving attorneys in Chicago. The only bitter ones are those who envy him! If I am ever dumb enough to get married again I would 100% use the services of Enrico.
Mr. Mirabelli is a very competent attorney who relies too much on his staff; I feel he needs to be more personally responsive to his clients. That being said, he is very impressive in court and my Judge seemed to have great respect for him.
BEERMANN BILLS ITS CLIENTS FOR FILING A "MOTION TO WITHDRAW" AT THE END OF ENGAGEMENTS ($1,156). THE COOK COUNTY CIRCUIT COURT HAS RULED THESE CHARGES INAPPROPRIATE. BEERMAN ALSO BILLS FOR INTAKE CALLS WITHOUT ADVANCE AGREEMENT AND DOUBLE AND TRIPLE BILLS THROUGH ITS "TEAM APPROACH". The “team approach” Partner Collen Breems described as “Beermann uses a team approach to our cases, and usually, that looks like assistance of our clerks, paralegals, and associates at lower hourly rates than mine to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness." I was specifically told this team rate would be less than Breems' rate of $425/hour. In reality, a 2nd partner and a 3rd attorney were added to every call and copied on every email for a blended team rate of $1,190 per hour. Beermann refused to remove the additional attorneys from each phone call and email even after several specific requests from me and continued to charge for them. Do not hire Beermann and if it's too late check bills carefully.
Former client who had a very bad experience with Beermann Law Group. In my opinion, they are more concerned about billing time than getting things done. I originally hired Attorney A from Beermann. It was not a good fit. I spoke with Attorney B from Beermann who originally said he would take my case. I was excited because I preferred Attorney B's style. So told Attorney A I was leaving. But after taking that action, Attorney B changed their mind. Attorney B kept funneling me back to Attorney A. I had an important meeting coming up and Beermann left me without an attorney that I wanted. So my impression is that Beermann cared more about protecting themselves than helping me, the client. On top of all that, after I told Attorney A I was leaving, the bill for the final week had a higher run rate than the previous weeks (even though from my perspective the amount of actual work was less).
