Peter Halden is the lawyer who took my divorce case on. Peter is very knowledgeable, everything he said could possibly happen was right on point. He is a very caring, companionate lawyer who lets you know that even though he has many other cases going on, that you are his number one priority. I couldn’t have been happier with the outcome of the case! I was able to fight for my divorce and win the case with a sense of peace knowing he was right there by my side throughout the whole process. His experience in the field definitely shows. His professionalism is outstanding and he conducts himself with such courage and confidence. This law firm has a gem on their hands with Peter! I would recommend this firm to anyone who is in need of a family lawyer. If I could give him 1,000 stars I would!

We used Deena a few years ago to try and obtain custody of my great niece. Deena was very knowledgeable & kind. She even sat in the Court room one day for hours to get an emergency Order we needed for medical care. We won full custody. My suggestion with any attorney is to make sure you have all of your documentation to help prove your case, and hire an attorney with the knowledge and skill set needed. For us, that was Deena Betze. .

She was very kind and understanding. She was very patient with us as we gathered the details for her concerning the biological parents of the child we were hoping to adopt (which were sketchy at best).

My ex husband and I had a mutual agreement drawn up, in spite of it, my divorce was drawn out for almost a year during which I paid for the same paperwork several times over . If I hadn't put my foot down it would probably have gone on a lot longer. I found Deena to be unethical and callous and very good at masking these traits. She knows how to play people and her concerns are less about her clients and more about their bank balances.

I was a victim of long term DV that should have been screened properly prior to Mr Matez engaging in mediation. My ex lawyer was with a father’s rights firm and prev worked in Mr Matez office. I was caring for and homeschooling two special needs children during Covid shutdown and caring for my mother who had terminal cancer. My ex and I had a notarized agreement we did between us and I moved with my children following our agreement in good faith. I had serious health issues and nothing in my name after 17 years. My ex immediately defaulted leaving me vulnerable. I was required to pay $600 per hour for mediation yet stressed I hadn’t worked in ten years and had no access to money. He did not level the playing field. My ex was aggressive as were his attorneys. He retired 12 years early, was dissipating assets and completely lied and acted in bad faith. My children, mother and I suffered a great deal as a result. My ex bragged about what he got away with and defaulted on entire div.

Run away -- their primary interest is their own bottom line and how much money they can extract from you. I had a simple divorce which should have been concluded quickly. They found issues to make it more drawn out and cost more money. In the end I had to fire my attorney when it was blatant that he was fighting for an issue that was going to cost more more money in the long run instead of doing his job. I was kept in the dark and my questions were dismissed. I ended up paying more & got less

I took out a loan to pay for Betze's "services". She arrived very late to court without a call. She overcharged me and knew little about child custody. She talked down to me, was not supportive, and was short-tempered during mediation. The papers she drafted were illegible and full of errors. After court, she walked out with the defendant's lawyer. 4 months later, she sent me a court parking fee.
A year later, I went back to court on my own and won.
Sadly, I am still paying for that loan.
