Shaffer & Shaffer PLLC evolved from the general practice of Harry G. Shaffer, Sr. who began his practice in 1909 and was joined by his son, Harry G. Shaffer, Jr. Beginning in the 1970s the firm expanded its client base and scope of work, and now provides representation across all areas of West Virginia. The firm's services include general civil practice in state and federal courts in West Virginia, with an emphasis on personal injury, industrial accidents, employment law, commercial transactions and litigation, employment law and insurance defense.

I never had to deal with a situation such as this, and having to get the help of an attorney was definitely new to me and my family. Mr. Cicconi made this experience much less painful. He was always made us feel very comfortable the entire way through out our ordeal. Tony was very responsive and helpful in getting a favorable appeal of my wife's social security disability case. He was hired and paid for by Allsup who was coordinating the documentation and submission process. Allsup was employed by Aetna/The Hartford who were the insurance providers for my wife's long term disability.
