I chose this law firm bc of my initial call with Met assistant Leslie she was down to earth. spoke with confidence & assurance however this office was more talk than action. The fumbles & procedural defects were from either not knowing how to handle the type of custody case or just incompetent. Met is DO NOT go to this office if you are seeking an assertive family law attorney to assert your position in court. Paid for Real Estate Legal Advice, Had to Educate the Attorney Instead I hired Met Lane for a one-hour consultation regarding dual agency conflicts in my Georgia real estate transaction. Unfortunately, the consultation was completely unproductive and actually made my situation worse. The specific issues: - I paid $350 for legal advice on dual agency conflicts in my brokerage agreement - Instead of receiving guidance, I spent the entire hour explaining to Mr. Lane why dual agency creates conflicts of interest - He admitted he had “not considered” these issues before - Rather than providing written advice or strategy, he simply called my listing agent (whom he had recommended) and asked him to drop the dual agency - The agent immediately canceled my listing, leaving me with no MLS exposure and lost time What I expected: Professional analysis of my agreement, written recommendations, and a strategy to strengthen my negotiating position as a seller.
