Sangeeta was a pleasure to work with. She was able to take 2 employment documents and explain the "legal jargon" in layman's terms, making it easy to understand. I loved working with Andrea Hoppe regarding my problem at my former employer. She was able to get my Record of Employment from a company who is known for being slow at sending them out after just a week. She made my life easier after a month waiting for it and fearing I would not be able to provide shelter or sustains for my family. I'm so glad she was there for me and I refer her and her firm to everyone I know.
Worked with Mills & Mills on a cohab agreement with my partner. Started off fine, but slowly cracks showed. Documents still had watermarks from public websites where formats were downloaded. The clerk I dealt with spent a lot of time on the case but was too junior, she had to go to the presiding lawyer for everything. Which led to the real problem - billing. A cohab is a standard financial statement of debts and assets, and then a negotiated agreement with my partner's lawyer. After burning through my retainer of $3,000 they were still not done the FS. They wanted to charge another $1,000 for follow up emails and requested another retainer of $3,000. Really disappointing experience, would highly recommend NOT using Mills & Mills, though they have various lawyers experience could be different.
