Winston Tannis

I have known Winston Tannis for decades and have benefited from his character and knowledges. We had a particularly interesting discussion on his work in ADR and how it applied to one of my fields - labour relations. He is always thinking ahead as a conflict resolution planner, and about how to solve a dispute when it arises. He is a very leanred, prudent and organized thinker. A truly great scholar and personality who applies his knowledges and skills for the benefit of personkind, in both English and French, and sometimes in Arabic.

I have worked with Winston Tannis on a number of projects over many years. He is typically highly personable and level headed, and clearly knows how to resolve conflicts while managing a project to completion. He is a good multi-disciplinary analyst who has obviously practiced law in the past, and enjoys being fair and reasonable, and also as a mediator and arbitrator.

Winston Tannis is personable, intelligent and insightful. He is a good general strategic advisor.. His background as a former Bay Street lawyer obviously helps, let alone his obvious skills as a highly trained ADR expert. I have also benefited from his 2 hour Introduction To ADR seminar and worked with him on numerous files towards good resolution.

Mr Tannis & I have known each other for a number of years - he is a thoughtful & caring man with great commitment to his work, as author-artist with great expertise in ADR. I am a trained historican & IT analyst who worked as a British-Canadian civil servant for many years in the UK, before returning to Canada, where Winston Tannis furnished compassionate & intelligent counselling, with his multi-disciplinary/cultural expertise driving the way. He has much to say, says it well, with great sensitivity & with great regard for the past & the future, which may explain why he found Trump to be so violent to our contemporary democratic traditions. He applies history very well to shape his visions of peace, pluralism & prosperity into the future, with great regard for the formal law which he teaches, & the possibilities of ADR which now attach to the legal system as well as counselling, consulting & other fields. I respect him as a general advisor/researcher of great depths.

I have known Mr Winston Tannis for close to seven years. He is well read on a variety of subjects, has multiple interests and the ability to navigate complex legal and situational matters with dexterity and ease, and present them in easy to understand ways. His streggths include integrity of belief, equity and fairness, and a passion for justice. He is particularly inclusive with those who do not fit the mainstream narrative and/or are differently abled or from different socio-economic or geographical backgrounds. I have also noticed his support and respect of minorities and of the value they bring. I am aware of his interest in Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) and in particular the study of advocacy and ceremony informing Gandhi's work in India, a country whose social, economic and political trends he continues to research, remain inspired by an monitor.

I have known Winston Tannis for many years and worked with him on many matters. I have been an independent business man and stylist for over 3 decades, working in both Montreal and Ottawa. Winston is regularly intelligent, caring and prudent. He is a gifted political and legal scientist and business leader. His Advanced ADR Seminar, which I've happily participated in, reflects his high intelligence and leadership in the field, and I've seen him apply such many times very skillfully - he is very subtle, skilled, delicate minded, multi disciplinary intervenor.

My honest opinion of Winston Tannis is he's a pathological liar, he is not straight with you about the facts and will say what he needs to to keep you happy while stabbing you in the back. He is not licensed to practice law in Ontario after being disbarred. You can't trust him as far as you can throw him.

Winston has not practiced law in over a decade. Check the records but he was most likely barred (2008?). Most of the reviews here are by Winston (aka Sideshow Bob) himself...not hard to figure out. Just search his name to see what does. Check Reddit. He's circulating email stating he is running for the Pres. of the USA, marrying Jennifer Aston, going on a world tour to perform...seriously lol !! Don't believe?....Just search. Oh yeah, a slumlord with his properties. (This site needs to do their due dilligence)

Crazy individual. He is not licensed to practice, disbarred. Fabricates stories, and has no knowledge of anything. He is a con man

I don't think he is a Lawyer anymore - I checked with the Bar and he is no longer listed. He is still advertizing as a full blown Lawyer and professes to practice as a Lawyer, but HE IS NO LONGER A LAWYER. How do report this to the Law Society?
