The hood law firm is one of the best around. Jason is a power house inside the court room I would recommend him highly. If it wasnt for yall i dont know what i would have done. Thank yall for everything yall have done for me.
in the beginning we were quite pleased - Jeff appeared to care about our class action case and was "sure" we had something - in the end Jeff got $38,000 and each individual (4 in the class action ) got approximately $3800 each! (Total settlement from Company was $55,000 so Jeff got 66% of the settlement when the contract called for 33%. Would love to be able to find out if this is ethical?
In the beginning he was very promising - told us his fee was 36% of what was won - in the end he had called in another lawyer and they also got 36%!!! so the lawyers got fifty seven thousand dollars EACH and we the claim peeps each got a little over $2,000 - they backslide and lied
Working with this lawyer has proven to me why some lawyers get a bad reputation. We have been trying to get a child custody agreement in place since 2022. As of today, the agreement has yet to be filed by Mr. Hood. He won't return phone calls or emails, yet charges for every little bit that he can. Our money is gone yet we have nothing to show for it. Meanwhile we have to find another attorney to address our issues that could have been handled 3 years ago.
He was an awful lawyer. He didn’t know my case. He was even told my the judge he failed me. He didn’t speak in court. He told me not to talk because the judge was in a bad mood and was upset because another judge didn’t show up for court so the judge I had was not in a good mood He told me he had it in the bag and he didn’t rebuttal He didn’t take up for me. He just sat there. His assistant knew more than he did. And he didn’t even use her. He got evidence wrong. He never got back with me. It took over 1 1/2 years to get my divorce. And that wasn’t even what I was going for. It was to get custody rights over my step daughter that I raise since 15 months old and knew since birth. Her dad abused her. Her dad beat me. Her dad cussed us both all the time. He was on drugs. He cheated on me and had a baby with her. My ex came to his law office saying he was ok getting papers drawn up that I was the only mother she knew. Her mom was in prison. She’s in jail now. he sucks !!!!
