His consistent lateness in filing various motions and lack of sufficient initiative and attentiveness to the cases in which he's involved have cost him many cases including mine. When confronted with these issues he offers reassurances and promises but then proceeds to drop the ball time and again. I was referred by a friend who was mislead by others regarding his abilities and professionalism. I wish I knew then what I only learned the hard way. Hos ability to continue practicing law can only be attributed to his political connections. Avoid at all costs.
I retained Mr. White and his firm to handle represent me in a bankruptcy matter. The firm not only missed a deadline in filing opposition papers to a motion to dismiss, but billed me more than $8,000 out of a $16,000 retainer without even furnishing a work product or producing such papers. With no answer and just lies and misrepresentations claiming they did send opposition papers which a year later I have still yet to ever be shown a copy. I had to initiate an Attorney-Client fee dispute with the Brooklyn Bar Association to even get a response only for which, he and his firm have yet to even convey an honest explanation and has only offered to return $4,000 of a remaining $6,000 of the initial retainer and has refused to address the rest of the money being charge for work and opposition papers he has yet to even furnish. RUN AND RUN FAST FROM THIS ATTORNEY, HIS ASSOCIATES AND HIS FIRM.
Asher will do what's best for himself- a steady paycheck. You will end up in court for months with no beneficial outcome, where he will push off court dates so he can keep charging you. I have nothing to show for the money I paid him. He has actually told me that "he wasn't prepared" for court. If you are looking for unethical representation from someone who acts like they are doing you a favor, this is your guy.
AAsher B White and his law firm are all frauds. They robbed me for 2 separate retainers and did absolutely nothing for my case. He showed up to my first court date an hour late an unprepared making both myself and himself look foolish in front of the judge and my ex husband and his lawyer. Not only did he do absolutely nothing for my case, he wouldn't even take my phone calls and kept pushing my case on his inexperienced son. He is unprofessional, money hungry and overall a terrible attorney.
