Hired Attorney Joseph John Alegria II

John Alegria, and his partner Leon Rothstein, got my appeal dismissed due to their neglect and failure to do their jobs. John never really seemed to know what was going on with my case. His partner, Leon, withheld evidence from me despite multiple requests which led me to be embarrassed in from of a judge during a motion to dismiss hearing. Ultimately, I paid over 50k more during a settlement than I legally should have based up Idaho Supreme Court Cases, and basic laws, due to their legal neglect. I am currently looking into taking legal action against both of them.

Hired Law Firm

Mr. Alegria was poorly prepared during every hearing. He continually asked me for more money after we had agreed upon a fixed amount for his services. Mr. Alegria became belligerent when he was called on his mistakes and is frequently combative. Mr. Alegria has formal complaints against him with the Idaho State Bar Association and I wish would would have made my own formal complaint within the time allowed to do so. Avoid using Mr. Alegria.

This lawyer is the rudest most unprofessional lawyer I have ever seen. Called my mom names because she wasn't understanding things on my sons case. Showed up for court late every time looking like he just rolled out of bed in cloths 3 sizes to big. Charged money for calls that he had an excuse to get off the phone. Couldn't remember times for court dates. Just over all the worst lawyer I have ever seen.

Was dishonest when answering questions about his ability, stated he had not lost a case in 9 years when in fact he was disbarred and had only just gotten his practice back. He made up things along the way, in court! Even stated it "was legal to sell marijuana" referring to another state in court, when the DA corrected him, he made jokes. Two occasions we had to drive 11 hours for postponements, he waited till last minute to request he appear for us for certain hearings because of travel distance
