About James Keith Ball

I have been practicing state and federal law for over 20 years. I am a former Deputy Prosecutor for the Ada County Prosecutor's Office. I spent five years prosecuting crimes ranging from misdemeanors, such as driving under the influence (DUI), to drug related crimes and violent felonies. I also served for two years as the Lobbyist for the Idaho Prosecuting Attorneys Association, where I was involved in writing criminal legislation and testifying in committee meetings and hearings throughout the state of Idaho.  I have tried over 50 cases to verdict.

From the start Jim informed me of my options and answered all my questions, he really took the time to keep my informed of the steps in the process and what to expect. Jim and his team have a high level of urgency when replying to calls/emails which helps to mitigate some of the stress involved. Jim always gave a realistic approach and never over-promised or under delivered; couldn't have had a better experience.

Jim was referred to me by an old friend. He called me on a Saturday to discuss my case after I had e-mailed him on a Friday afternoon. He agreed to take my case and was very helpful in explaining to me what could nd could not happen. He was always prompt to answer my numerous questions and managed to put my mind at ease when I found myself in what to me was unknown territory. Hired Attorney James Keith Ball

I hired Jim to defend a family member accused of felony battery. The alleged victim was an off duty police officer. Jim got the charge reduced to a misdemeanor, with penalties limited to a fine and community service, over the objection of the officer. In the real world, I d/n think you can do better than that.

I hired Jim to for my DUI case. I contacted his office via email and telephone (leaving a voicemail) on a weekend. He responded me that weekend and we set up a meeting for that following week. This was amazing as I needed to get everything going within 7 days of my arrest. An attorney that accessible and responsive is simply amazing and almost unheard of. He was & has been always easy to reach. I could go on and on but simply put, he works hard and cares about you, getting the job done.
