Mr. Roberts and Deborah Webb from Lerch Early provided outstanding counsel in a contentious custody case in Montgomery County, MD. I was very pleased with their representation in all aspects of the case.
Hired Chris for a family law issue. While responsive and communicates well he was generally unprepared for court appearances, relies heavily on his associates, and doesn’t have depth of experience to offer good advice.
Working with Chris was an exercise in patience. Not only was his grasp of legal concepts as short as his stature, but he also seemed to repeatedly overlook basic details. It was like trying to get clarity from someone who’s never quite stood tall enough to understand the bigger picture. If you’re hoping for someone who can see the full scope of your case, this may not be the best fit. But if you need someone who excels at missing the point, Chris is your guy.
If you’re considering Christopher Roberts as your divorce attorney, let me save you some frustration: don’t. Not only was his performance in the courtroom lackluster, but he also seemed to come up short in just about every other area of his practice. Communication was a constant issue—my calls and emails routinely went unanswered, leaving me feeling, well, overlooked. When it came to strategy, Christopher’s approach was anything but towering. His arguments were weak, his knowledge shallow, and his preparedness consistently undersized. Opposing counsel outmaneuvered him with ease, while he fumbled around with the basics, looking more out of place than confident. But the worst part? He carried himself with an attitude that was all bravado, like he was compensating for something. He was dismissive, detached, and far too often left me feeling as if my concerns were simply beneath him. So unless you're looking for a lawyer who feels a bit "small" on the big issues, keep searching.
