Leave a review about your experience with this lawyer.I am very satisfied with the outcome of my case. I was referred to Shelly by a good friend. She helped me work out a settlement with my ex-partner and made sure it was beneficial to me. This was my first time hiring a lawyer but I am glad I did. I feel like the reason I made it through this was because I had found a good legal firm. I recommend her and her firm.
My divorce was very difficult. My husband hid our assets and had planned to leave me long before he actually let on to me that he was done with the marriage. I felt lost and alone and helpless. I was referred to the Mckeon Law Firm from one of my close friends who used them for her divorce and custody case. I hired Shelly and Jessica to represent me and could not have been in better hands. They were literally life savers. They helped me at every step to see the options available to me and to advise me based on their wealth of experience. They were able to find the money my husband hid from me and negotiated a settlement that I am very pleased with and feel that even though nobody wins in a divorce, I came out of this ordeal feeling secure in my future because of the settlement. Overall, I believe that even though it was expensive, they were worth every dollar. My husband's attorneys fees were much higher than mine and I know he is unhappy with the outcome. I highly recommend them.
Shelly McKeon and Jessica Kern handled my divorce and the bottom line is they protected my interests and ensured I got a fair settlement. Although my ex deliberately made the whole thing as difficult and expensive as it could be, Shelly and Jessica made sure that I was well aware of what was to come, kept me informed and involved, and took every step needed to ensure that I was not steamrolled. I ended up much better off that I thought would be possible. I am so glad to have had them on my side.
I had one of those horrible divorces you read about.....and things settled down until I moved up to MD to be closer to my kids from VA....then the ex( a family attorney herself) decieded to litigate settled issues again.......Shelly did a marvelous job and although we had to go through a two day trial....at the end of it all she got the case dismissed because the ex- did not meet the burden of proof to warrant a modification.......
Shelly and Pam both were my attorney and I wish I knew them first before I wasted my time and money to my previous one. The McKeon are the best.
Shelly D. McKeon is an exceptional attorney, efficient and effective and a caring individual. She knows what facts to gather and how to use them in the case. My personal case involved children and her genuine concern for the children was apparent. She gave excellent advice, but was always willing to listen and consider your thoughts if they differed from hers. I have recommended Ms. McKeon to several friends as I feel her integrity and legal representation is outstanding.
Terrible advice for divorce settlement after all funds were exhausted. Resulted in Bankruptcy, loss of home, financially devastated.
I am sure she was good when Pam was with her. Mediocre at best, not a very professional or upright attorney. My case was handles poorly and I could have had the same if not better results had I been to another less expensive and more knowledgeable attorney. A true disappointment. I googled and found better solutions and advice compared to what she gave. A waste of time and money. Basic rules that one finds in the maryland Lawyers professional rules of conduct were not adhered to.
