I have been a homemaker for my entire adult life while my husband made a very good living. She did not advise me of my rights to have alimony. I am just getting by on my limited income while he has happily remarried and is in a great financial place. Sure,I got half of our assets but no alimony to live on and had to sell everything to make it through. I should have received some financial help from my ex-husband since we were married for 30 years but I got nothing and she should have advised me.
Filed for my divorce in 2012, they never got around to child support request until jan of 2016. I have 4 kids, losing my home, got financially destroyed by ex and Fleming did zero to help get any money at all. Since jan of 2016 I have managed to get 4,000 that is it! That came only when I fired the attorney and took matters into my own hands by dealing directly with the courts myself. They were unprofessional and egregiously inept. I was crushingly disappointed and so shocked at the outcome.
