Shiohban Royster assisted me in understanding an upcoming case. She could have taken my money but compassionately gave me a free consultation. Then she said, “I’m not going to take your money. You don’t need me for this.” She then Proceeded to explain exactly what I needed to do. She was kind and put my mind at ease. It wasn’t about the money, it was about simply helping someone.
Part 2 of same case Ms Royster again out did herself with representation of my landlord and tenant issues. I was unable to locate new residence post settlement and I am so glad the Ms. Royster understand the laws. I won my case and highly recommend her services. Ms. Royster is straight to the point and will need just the current facts to build a case.
I hired Ms. Royster due to other landlord tenant attorneys overcharging and refusing to listen. Ms. Royster is straight to the point and I definitely learned a lot from her and how the law works. She took what I gave at the last minute and putting in the time to find a solution while busy with other cases. I definitely recommend Ms. Royster for Landlord tenant issues.
Mrs Royster was the best she won my case after changing lawyers twice that was leading my case down the wrong path. Whenever I couldn't reach her at the office her call back time was always less than 15min . She was very knowledgeable and clear with explaining my possible outcomes to me at my first meeting with her , I felt safe leaving my case with her. I highly recommend Mrs. Royster .
I previously worked with Shiohban. Even though her schedule is very busy rushing from case to case you have to understand she works for herself. She is highly knowledgeable and will help you win you case with expertise.
Contacted this attorney on 2/22/2025 to handle property/deed for my elderly mother. On 3/11/2025 we decided not to use her for the following reasons: Upon initially contact, we explained that her health was not good and she wants to make sure her paperwork is correct. Sent documents she requested, asap. Over 2 weeks and nothing was accomplised. We informed her that we didn't understand and her response was "if yall want me to do it, I will". She quoted $500 then stated Real Estate Planning is $4000. We never asked for planning just needed Living Trust changed. Then she quoted us $2000. Even after all this bad communication, we informed her to send over agreement of what she was gonna do and the price. Two days passed and no agreement. When we inquired about what happened to the agreement, she says she was on trial. Glad we chose another attorney because the information she was giving us was WRONG and come to find out, she didn't need to do anything with her paperwork.
Found a black female attorney and thought I could work with her. Nope! Just through email exchange, she made it about money without hearing my situation first. I decided to not respond back as I was already disinterested in the initial contact. She then called me to follow up and I briefly tried to explain my situation. I was stopped multiple times when speaking and couldn’t finish my sentences. The attorney then said she can’t take the case due to her believing that I am withholding information (mind u I was being cut off multiple times) and hung up on me. Waste of time on the phone!
Ms. Rooster is very unprofessional & lacks integrity . I don't know how long she's been practicing law but her knowledge & expertise is lacking .
Unknowledgeable, unprofessional & lacks integrity . There has to be better representation out there .
Billing Discrepancies & NO TRANSPARENCY! I removed her from counsel due to billing discrepancies and lack of transparency. She was over charging me for emails and not providing backup for the charges. I remove her as counsel and asked her to refund my partial retainer amount and she advised that I had to sign a release document. The document basically stated that I wouldn’t write a bad review about her or say anything negative. I politely told her I never signed anything to retain your service and do not feel comfortable signing anything from your office. She then charged my retainer amount for drafting the release document and refunded the difference. Steer clear of hiring her for anything, you will regret it in the end.
