Did a mediocre job representing my daughter. Seemed scattered and a little disorganized. Paid his retainer of $1000 in full as the estimated cost of his service. Then sent us a bill 90 days later in the middle of a pandemic for $458. stated he isn't being paid very much because the courts have been closed for 2 weeks so he told his secretary to pull old clients to see where he could get away with billing more and collecting from people. Shame on this attorney. I don't know how he sleeps at night. Called my daughters dad by the wrong name. Very unethical. I feel we are being taken advantage of in this pandemic because he is short on cash like most of us. My bill was paid in full in January with no mention of extra time he spent..now he is trying to back peddle on how he spent more time than he thought...90 days later? With NO contact since the school hearing? He never even followed up to find out what the determination of the hearing was! Now he wants $458?? Steer clear.
I hired Rick Pattison and paid a $3,500 retainer, expecting effective legal representation. Rick claimed this would be his cost for a Modification of Parenting Time. 4 months later, my motion never got heard and he’s requesting another $6,200 from me. However, my case was delayed for a month after payment, and when it did move forward, deadlines set by the court were missed. He failed to inform me he is not able to be present in the courtroom in front of Hon. Tina Yost Johnson - I had to find that out from the judge. Despite my repeated requests, he failed to take necessary actions on my behalf and instead seemed to work in favor of the opposing attorney and what she wanted. Communication was poor, billing practices were questionable, and when I requested that he withdraw from my case, he refused. I would not recommend this attorney based on my experience.
