If I sold a business and the new owners are not paying the debit and because I have a personal guarantee I'm being sued, what can I do?

Answered by attorney Daniel A. Edelman
Bankruptcy lawyer at Edelman, Combs, Latturner & Goodwin, LLC
File suit against them. Depending on the relationship between what you guaranteed and what they agreed to pay, it may be possible to join them in the same lawsuit as third party defendants. For example, if they agreed to pay the debts of the business, you can third party them.

How can my husband get a judgment due to identity theft removed?

Answered by attorney Leonard T Schwartz (Unclaimed Profile)
Bankruptcy lawyer at Law Offices of Slotnick & Schwartz
The only way I can think of is to ask the Court to vacate the judgment nd reopen the case based upon the settlement. Or use the settlement as a defense if they attach your property. But without proof of the settlement your chances are not very good.

Can a debt settlement company drop me before the creditors listed have been settled after I paid them?

Janice Fabiana Alfred

You should consult with a contract attorney about your rights in relation to the debt settlement company. In the meantime, you will need to respond to the complaint filed by the creditor to avoid a default judgment against you.
