Does a discharged bankruptcy qualify as an unsatisfied judgment?

Charles J Schneider
Answered by attorney Charles J Schneider (Unclaimed Profile)
Bankruptcy lawyer at Charles J. Schneider, P.C.
Your discharge in a bankruptcy did not satisfy the judgment. It discharged the Judgment. A satisfied Judgment is one that was paid.

If I can pay the private school's admission fees, can they deny me entrance because of my bankruptcy?

That would be a discretionary decision for the school to make. Private schools can base their decisions to admit someone on any criteria they like as long as it doesn't violate laws prohibited discrimination on the basis of race, gender, age, etc.

How much debt you have to currently be in to file for bankruptcy?

Answered by attorney Stuart M. Nachbar
Bankruptcy lawyer at Law Office of Stuart M. Nachbar, P.C.
It is not a question of minimum, but more a question of maximum. You can not file for a Chapter 13 if your general unsecured is over 337,000 and/or your secured debt is over 1,010,650. There is no minimum debt requirement, but it may not be worth it, if you have below 3,000 as most attorney charge that for a c7. Hope this helps as you really did not give a lot of information to go develop an answer from.
