You don't have to do anything for the second mortgage (equity loan) if you did not reaffirm the debt and the debt was already discharged by the court.

Can I convert to chapter 7 if I pass with secondary presumption and will this make me fail the conversion?

Answered by attorney Robert Jason De Groot (Unclaimed Profile)
Bankruptcy lawyer at R. Jason de Groot, P.A.
Once the secured debt is handled, you might be able to convert to a chapter 7, but you will need to talk to the attorney who knows all the facts, the one who filed the chapter 13 for you.

What can I do if I got into an accident after I filed for bankruptcy?

default-avatar
Answered by attorney Sanaz Sarah Bereliani (Unclaimed Profile)
Bankruptcy lawyer at Bereliani Law Firm, PC
Since you incurred the debt after filing it cannot be included in this BK. Unless you want to dismiss this case and refile. But if there is a judgment by the state court saying that this was an intentional tort - negligence or DUI or anything like that, then the damages arising from that are not dischargeable.
