We get into legal trouble for NOT reporting Bancruptcy Fraud

Answered by attorney Mark J Markus
Bankruptcy lawyer at Law Office of Mark J. Markus
I don't see a question here, and there isn't enough information to answer what I think you're asking. What is your relationship to this case?  Are you the debtor?  Are you a creditor?  Are you representing the debtor, or a creditor?   Different answers for different relationships.  If you're a creditor, it's likely in your best interest to report the bankruptcy fraud, but I don't see how you have any legal obligation to do so. Mark Markus has been practicing exclusively bankruptcy law in California since 1991.  He is a Certified Specialist in Bankruptcy Law by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization,  AV-Rated by martindale.com, and A+ rated by the Better Business Bureau.

Do I have to have my Chapter 13 dismissed to get divorced?

Answered by attorney Marjorie A. Guymon
Bankruptcy lawyer at Goldsmith & Guymon, P.C.
You do not have to have your chapter 13 bankruptcy dismissed in order to get divorced. However, when you divorce you will need to address who pays what amount of the plan payment.

Can I file bankruptcy on a title loan in TX and keep my car as well?

Susan Green Taylor
Answered by attorney Susan Green Taylor (Unclaimed Profile)
Bankruptcy lawyer at Law Office of Susan G. Taylor
No. Chapter 7 does not change such secured debt. If you had used household goods rather than your car as collateral for a loan, the resulting lien could have been avoided. But not a lien on a car.
