Is my home loan to new to file for bankruptcy?

Bankruptcy lawyer at Steven J. Alpers, A Professional Corporation
Unfortunately I cannot answer your question. Is the house in Kentucky? How old is the loan? Only a problem if they can charge you borrowed money knowing you intended to go bankrupt. They there could be a claim of mortgage fraud.

If I file bankruptcy, can I reaffirm one credit card so I may keep it if it has a zero balance?

Bankruptcy lawyer at R. Jason de Groot, P.A.
If you owe nothing on that credit card, you do not have to list it in your bankruptcy. You would not need to reaffirm it. You do not have to agree to pay something that you do not owe. There is nothing to discharge if you owe nothing on that credit card. Make sure the balance is zero when you file. You have to have a consultation with an approved consumer credit counselling agency before you file, and get a certificate from them that they have consulted with you. If you are married both of you need to get certificates.

Our bankruptcy lawyer withdrew her representation because of a disagreement based on verbal promises that she refused to acknowledge.

Answered by attorney Mark J Markus
Bankruptcy lawyer at Law Office of Mark J. Markus
Your lawyer will not be paid her fees unless they were approved by the bankruptcy court.  As far as hiring a new attorney, I highly recommend it.  You might be able to find one who will take their fees from your monthly payments, but you may have to come up with some money from a third party to retain them.
