IIf I have been discharged from a chapter7, can I add some more creditors to my file or can I give them my old case number?

I have filed chapter 7 and I have been discharged in July. I have some more creditor can I use my old case number or what can I do to stop them from calling n harassing me? You may be able to re-open your case to include those creditors who were left off, but that is a time sensitive issue - then and only then would those creditors be required to cease and desist from contacting you further.

Advise them of the bankruptcy filing date and number, and if they do not provide the transcript for the norm and present cost then seek to have the held in contempt of the bankruptcy court.

Can I declare bankruptcy only to dismiss a judgement against me?

Answered by attorney Kevin W. Bruning (Unclaimed Profile)
Bankruptcy lawyer at Bruning & Associates, P.C.
With few exceptions for necessities like some car loans, you cannot file bankruptcy and decide to keep some debts and not others. If you file for bankruptcy, you would have to disclose all of your debts, and it would be up to your other creditors to decide whether or not to extend you credit again after the bankruptcy is over. Also, you would need to consult with a bankruptcy attorney about the nature of your arbitration case to ensure it is a type of debt that can be discharged in bankruptcy.
