He lost a conservator ship case against me, and I was representing myself. He was investigated by the Bar, for sending a very unprofessional and slanderous email.
My mother passed away on July 1, 2024, I hired this law firm to assist me within 1.5 weeks. They have done nothing with my case. Emails go unanswered. My sister ended up going into the office to see if she could talk to someone, they wouldn't talk with her. So I scheduled a phone call with them. They did not call. I had to call the office and was told my paralegal was busy. She finally called me back, I asked her all my questions and she told me Mr. Brumfield was out of the office but she would get back with me within 1 . It has been since September, it is now December. Still no response. I have called, I have emailed. I requested to have my retainer refunded to me since they are obviously not interested in my case. That was back in October. We are not in December. no response no refund I even had a scheduled phone appointment since I couldn't get a response via email. No phone call. Finally, my sister went directly in the office to see if someone would help.
I hired him to secure a settlement on my credit cards which I couldn't pay. He forgot about my case and didn't send out the letters until 2 weeks later. He ended up talking me into filing for a Chapter 7. Resulting in a stop of my divorce proceeding, costing me over $50,000 in credit declaration plus over $50,000 in attorney fees. (the Bankruptcy trustee sued me in Federal court) If I could afford it, I would sue him for the trauma and financial catastrophe he has caused me.
