Peter J. Carman is a civil litigator who knows the insurance world from the inside. He built much of his career handling insurance defense in general liability and workers’ compensation, and he now uses that background to help individuals with personal injury and workers’ comp claims. Peter is a hands-on, detail-focused lawyer with first-chair trial and hearing experience, and he takes the time to understand what’s actually driving a case; medically, financially, and legally, so nothing important gets missed. Every matter starts with a free consultation, because he wants clients to feel comfortable with the process and to make sure he has the full story from day one. His work has been recognized with honors including Avvo Clients’ Choice, listings in The Best Lawyers in America for Workers’ Compensation Law – Claimants and Litigation – Insurance, Wisconsin Super Lawyers recognition, and Martindale-Hubbell’s AV Preeminent rating.

Leave a review about your experience with this lawyer.Attorney Peter Carman is the BEST! I highly recommend. My first attorney, Tom Domer, was, noted as an outstanding attorney and to assist ME with my worker's comp case. Think again...he was not for the injured. When I first emailed Attorney Carman he responded to me in seconds. He also understood my concerns and executed. Not only was a disfigurement claim settled the first few months I hired him, but also my vocational retraining program and past and future medical bills were settled. Patience is a virtue and worker's comp claims take time. Attorney Carman will be there during the thick and thin and WILL NOT back down! As I stated earlier, Attorney Carman is the BEST in Northeast Wisconsin and if you haven’t reached out to him for your worker’s compensation case…WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?!
From day one Atty. Peter Carman was determined to help me with my case. Even before agreeing to take my case, Peter stepped in when the insurance company was giving me the run around on the basic paperwork required to begin the legal process. My case was a 4-year process, requiring multiple surgeries and medical providers, across 2 states. Being put into a tight spot monetarily lead to many of the medical bills moving to collects. Peter expertly sorted and documented the debts incurred from my injuries, and presented them to the court. Peter didn’t hesitate to step between me and the Insurance companies, providers, and collections agencies. He will assertively defend you while the case being assembled for presentation. In the hearing for my case Peter knew all the details from the past 4 years and expertly used that knowledge to rebuttal the case assembled by the insurer’s attorney. In 4 years I never once question his dedication to helping me get the compensation I deserved.
Great attorney! Answered all questions and emails very fast. Took the to understand case. Would recommend to anyone.
Pete took my case without hesitation knowing it would be a complicated case. Pete and his Para-Legal Kara took time throughout the entire process to explain in detail what was happening. Pete displayed constant patience even if I demanded a re-explanation. Pete was prompt in his communications with me. I would have no hesitations in recommending Pete when there is a complicated case that needs a responsible and dedicated attorney.
