I don't feel as if they tried hard enough for my ssd hearing to which I should have won.
First of all, realize you’ll never see or meet Kenneth Hiller. You’ll get pushed off to several different people, some of them,not even attorneys.I was supposed to have this certain attorney that I had seen a couple of times with me in court.That didn’t happen. At the very last minute, at the courthouse, I was informed that some young lady was going to represent me.The judge wanted to know why the lady knew absolutely nothing about me, or about my case. He finally told her that he wasn’t going to continue with the proceeding. I was devastated. Then he said he would give her 30 minutes to go review my 1000 page file & then come back. She scanned over my file & asked me a few questions. We went back in & then the judge (technically the arbitrator) asked me more questions than he asked the little newbie attorney? If she was one.Then, we wrapped up, & I had to wait weeks for a determination. I was approved; but, then received several phone calls & a bill for something that wasn’t covered.
They typically brush off any attempts to contact them and take days to return calls if at all. They lie and say they'll be filing paperwork only to turn around and say they won't be filling said paperwork. They did not request and obtain the pertinent information to my case. My experience leads me to believe they are taking on far too many clients compared to how much work they can actually achieve. Seek a different practice if you wish for your lawyer to actually put effort into your case.
As an extremely ill and exhausted, medically disabled teacher, I contacted this law office in 2013 for help obtaining disability. At that time, I had over 1200 pages of documentation verifying my case. Mr Hiller spoke with me over the phone himself and refused to take my case simply due to my young age of 40 despite the documentation I had already exhausted myself doing the legwork to obtain. Once the judge finally was able to see my case over 4 years later, he said the sheer volume of paperwork I collected MYSELF spoke volumes about the person I am and the help I needed. He said my case was the prime example of WHY we pay into disability as we work! Yet… Mr. Hiller refused to help me after I was denied the first time applying myself. By Mr. Hiller refusing to help me after claiming on his tv commercials on a daily basis that this is his speciality, I was forced to wait 4 YEARS for a disability hearing due to backlogs in the court.
