I was involved in an auto accident where I was hit from behind. Rebecca Dean, who handled my case, did a great job negotiating with the other insurance company as well as with the physical therapy billing office who had made an extensive number of errors. Communication with the office and getting responses was sometimes difficult/delayed but the end results were very good and we ended up at the upper end of what we expected in settlement.

9/18/13 Diagnosis of disability
10/29/13 Notice of Commission hearing
4/1/14 Notice of 2nd opinion
5/15/14 Date of 2nd opinion
10/16/14 Commission award agreement
10/21/14 recieved 1st check (partial)
notified P&S imediately requesting LS
12/22/14 signed forms for revised order
2/13/15 still no check
I don't understand the 5 mos from hearing to 2nd opin and another 5mos to award
also 4 mos to get revised order
I feel my case was not properly monitored

This could not have ended up any worse.
What I dislike:
-Case took forever.
-Lack of communication. Most of my calls were never answered or returned.
-They failed to provide satisfactory return on my case. They had an option for me but it would take another 6-9 months or even more.{para}Overall; I needed a lawyer that would be straight forward, fast and efficient. They failed to do so. I am
not happy at all with the results I had for my case.

This was handled VERY poorly. I couldn't ever get my paralegal to return my calls, unless I called and asked to speak to Mr. Portner. I've tried for months, to get a return call from him and could not, until I threatened to leave bad online reviews. I would have been better, had I handled my case without Portner and Shure. They will not call you, or call you back and make you feel like you're not a valuable client. There are PLENTY of attorneys out there, that'd love to have your business.
