After firing my first attorney in my federal case for incompetence, I hired a brilliant young lawyer who put the work in and was about to win my case. Well the feds offered him a job he was so good and boom conflict of interest, he can't represent me. I leave his office with a huge binder of his work , in essence turning over a winning case with all the work done...I hire Thomas Ohern,he gets the evidence and previous lawyers work and seemed confident he could get me off or put threw shock as a first time offender. On my way in for sentencing (he didn't get me off) he assured me if I plead out he could get me 6 month in shock,he said it was a done deal. It wasn't, the judge gave me 36 months with four years of probation. I paid Tom to go to trial, we didn't, he owed me a bit of money, he said if he kept it ten years after my charges and with my time served and being non violent he would get it removed and my record expunged, he did neither, and kept my money! It's been 12 years
