Peter B. Jones is a Special Counsel based in Hinman, Howard & Kattell’s Albany office and is a member of the Firm’s Real Estate Practice Group. Peter practices in the areas of real estate, including residential, commercial, mortgage and relocation closings, estate planning and administration, and general practice.
During more than thirty years of practice as an attorney, Mr. Jones has represented thousands of clients in cases and transactions ranging from the simplest closings to complex commercial transactions involving 1031 tax exchanges. He is a member of the New York State, Rensselaer County and Albany County Bar Associations.
A lifelong resident of Rensselaer County and Troy High School graduate, Peter has served his community throughout his career as a member of the Board of Directors of the Arc of Rensselaer County (formerly Rensselaer County ARC), the Troy Savings Bank Music Hall Corporation, Vanderheyden Hall and The Rensselaer ARC Foundation. He has been an agent of Chicago Title Insurance Company for over thirty years. He is also an avid skier, fisherman and fiddler.
