Hired Attorney Mr Lee Novak

I retained Mr. Novak to defend my son against felony charges carrying a 10yr prison sentence. He worked on this case for over six months, demonstrating an extraordinary legal expertise in the crafting of a settlement of the case in which all parties obtained favorable outcomes. My son avoided prison, the victims and the community are to obtain full restitution and the Judge gets to show off his wisdom. Sure the state lost the case, but the state also wins (no prison costs). Great lawyer!

They are basically a referral service. The lawyer they referred me to has been very good, but in my communications with Imhoff, they have demonstrated almost no detailed knowledge about my case. They have, however, been very proactive when it comes to the possibility of me paying them more money.

We contacted IMHOFF & Associates through my husband's work after his arrest. His assigned case manager talked us through the process and we thought we were getting an opportunity to have an experienced attorney (as per their website and case manager). Now, after our experience with them and after terminating our services with them, we have really looked into their services. During an emotional time of arrest of a loved one, you really don't thinking clearly, it gets me mad now looking back, not really understanding during that stressful time that we were dealing with a middleman association and yes, they are nationwide network, they aren't licensed nationwide, they just have a pocketful of attorney's they pick throughout the states, and from our experience, aren't always qualified for the cases! My husband's appointed attorney never met with him, wasn't there for his bail hearing, & shortly thereafter suggested he take a plea. We obtained new attorney, husband now out bail and hopeful!

I was referred to this law firm through the CLC. I am very disappointed with the law firm I was referred to, but I'm glad I chose not to retain their services. The woman I spoke with identified herself as an attorney named Lina Hulio. She was very condescending and did not offer any ethical or legal guidance. The prices she provided were inflated and out of reach for the type of case I needed help with. Additionally, the law firm seems to receive money from a local referral, which explains why they charge so much. Ultimately, I found an excellent law firm that charged half the fee and was able to retrieve the information based on the complaint number during the telephone consultation. I don’t think a law firm like the one I was referred to should be part of the referral process from the CLC, especially when there is significant pressure on a case and dealing with an attorney who adds more stress. The attorney was condescending and provided no legal help.

I hired them to clear up a ticket that I received a long time ago. I paid them and trying to get updates is like pulling teeth from a fly. I got no response to my e mails and when I call the so-called case manager is always to busy to talk. It's getting very frustrating. I just would like a simple update once in a while.

I would give no stars if that were an option. Imhoff and Associates will FLEECE you and hang you out to dry. They cost more than other firms and do less. Roll the dice with a public defender or represent yourself before signing with Imhoff & Associates.

I hired this law firm because I was assured they had a Lawyer that could work the case. My case was assigned to a Lawyer that was 5 hours away from the client. I didn't know that until months later. It was so difficult getting information from the Lawyer I asked for another Lawyer, my request was not granted. I asked the Lawyer why she took the case, it was because the law firm had no one else in northern ca. The Lawyer later told me she had more cases which meant she did not have time to research the particulars in the case. on 09/22/21 I requested proof that the petition had been filed. On 9/22/21 she E-mailed me and said it was on the calendar today (09/22/21). there was no prior notification to the client. On 09/23/21 she E-mailed me giving the results of the hearing. This law firm did nothing for the client once the contract was signed and the money paid. I continually asked her not to put this case on the back burner but that is exactly what she did.
